Triangle Therapist, LLC — Fees and Insurance Disclosure Effective Date: July 26, 2026

This Fees and Insurance Disclosure (“Disclosure”) is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Use of Triangle Therapist, LLC (“Triangle Therapist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using triangletherapist.com or any related services (the “Services”), you acknowledge and agree to the following.

  1. Triangle Therapist Does Not Charge Clients Triangle Therapist does not charge individuals seeking mental health services any fee to browse the directory, view profiles, use educational content or tools, or submit consultation requests. Any fees charged by Triangle Therapist are limited to membership, listing, or administrative fees paid by Professional Members for participation in the directory, as described at the time of purchase.
  2. All Clinical Fees Are Set and Collected by Independent Professionals Every professional listed through the Services is an independent provider. All fees for therapy, counseling, supervision, consultations beyond any free introductory call, assessments, letters, records, no-show or late-cancellation charges, and any other professional services are established, disclosed, charged, and collected solely by the individual professional, under that professional’s own policies and agreements. Triangle Therapist does not set, negotiate, bill, collect, process, refund, or guarantee any clinical fee, and is not a party to any financial arrangement between you and any professional. You are solely responsible for understanding a professional’s fees, cancellation policies, and payment terms before beginning services, and any billing question or dispute must be resolved directly with the professional.
  3. No Fee-Splitting or Referral Compensation Membership and listing fees paid by Professional Members are flat fees for directory participation and platform features. They are not contingent on, calculated by reference to, or payable from any professional’s clinical revenue, and Triangle Therapist does not accept or pay compensation in exchange for the referral of any client to any professional. Nothing in the Services constitutes fee-splitting, a referral fee arrangement, or a division of clinical fees.
  4. Fee Information Displayed on Profiles Is Self-Reported Any rate, fee range, sliding-scale availability, free-consultation offer, or similar information appearing on a professional’s profile is self-reported by that professional and is not verified by Triangle Therapist. Fees may change at any time without notice to us. The rate displayed on a profile does not constitute an offer by Triangle Therapist, and the professional’s own disclosures and agreements control over anything displayed on the Services.
  5. Insurance Information Is Self-Reported and Unverified; No Guarantee of Coverage Any insurance-related information appearing on the Services — including insurance plans listed on a professional’s profile and insurance selections submitted through consultation request forms — is self-reported and is not verified by Triangle Therapist. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY THAT ANY PROFESSIONAL IS IN-NETWORK WITH, PARTICIPATES IN, OR ACCEPTS ANY INSURANCE PLAN, OR THAT ANY SERVICE WILL BE COVERED OR REIMBURSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY ANY INSURER, EMPLOYER PLAN, MEDICAID OR MEDICARE PROGRAM, OR OTHER PAYOR. Network participation changes frequently and varies by specific plan, product, and effective date. You are solely responsible for verifying network status, coverage, benefits, deductibles, copayments, prior-authorization requirements, and estimated costs directly with the professional and your insurance company before beginning services.
  6. Out-of-Network Services and Superbills Some professionals do not participate in insurance networks and may, at their discretion, provide documentation (such as a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Triangle Therapist makes no representation that any insurer will accept such documentation or provide any reimbursement, and has no involvement in preparing, submitting, or supporting any claim.
  7. No Insurance, Billing, or Benefits Advice Nothing on the Services constitutes insurance, billing, coding, tax, or benefits advice. Content describing insurance concepts is general education only and may not reflect the terms of your plan or current law. Consult your insurer, plan documents, or a qualified advisor regarding your specific situation.
  8. Good Faith Estimates and Legal Billing Rights Under applicable law, including the federal No Surprises Act, uninsured and self-pay individuals may have the right to receive a good faith estimate of expected charges from their provider. Any such estimate is the sole responsibility of the treating professional. Triangle Therapist does not prepare or provide good faith estimates and is not a “provider” or “facility” for purposes of such laws.
  9. Payment Disputes Any dispute concerning fees, charges, refunds, insurance claims, or reimbursement is exclusively between you and the professional and/or your insurer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Triangle Therapist, LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and agents shall have no liability arising out of or relating to any fee, charge, billing practice, insurance determination, denial of coverage, or reimbursement outcome.
  10. Changes We may revise this Disclosure at any time by posting an updated version with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after any revision constitutes acceptance.

This Disclosure supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Use control.
